💎 Meet EY3ZLOW — the FL-based Producer/Engineer Behind YNW Melly, Kodak Black & more!
Get an inside look at Ey3zlow's story and creative process in this week’s Producer Spotlight!

MEET: EY3ZLOW
This week’s Producer Spotlight is on South Florida’s Ey3zlow — a producer and engineer known for his sound design, clean mixes, and the detail he puts into every record. He’s been steadily stacking credits with standout cuts like King Von’s “Trust Issues,” Kodak Black’s “Big Bank,” Hotboii’s “No Limit,” and more recently, Eladio Carrión and Myke Towers’ “Vetements.” He also engineered YNW Melly and Kanye West’s “Mixed Personalities,” bringing the same precision and intention that define his production. Rooted in the 954, he’s quietly positioning himself as one of the most versatile new producers rising right now.

Describe the moment that inspired you to get into music production:
Growing up, I was inspired by watching my dad play gigs with his band. That exposure to live music sparked my curiosity early on. Later, in high school, I had access to laptops and music software like GarageBand during study hall, and that hands-on experience really pulled me in. That’s when I became
intrigued with producing music and started experimenting with making beats myself.
Who are some of your musical influences?
Dr.Dre
Jermaine Dupri
Quincey Jones
What’s your DAW of choice, and why?
I started out using Logic, but once I switched to FL Studio I realized it gave me the sound I was really looking for. Simply put, my drums just hit harder in FL. The workflow and tools allow me to shape my sound in a way that feels more authentic and impactful.
Do you have any routines or rituals before starting a session?
I usually start by building the melody first, since that sets the mood and direction of the track. Once I have that foundation, I layer in the drums to give it rhythm and energy.
How would you describe your signature sound?
My music is really driven by how I’m feeling in the moment. I don’t box myself into one specific formula or signature element—I just create based on emotion and inspiration. That’s what makes my sound unique, even if it’s not tied to one defining genre.
What's on that master bus đź‘€?
EQ and Fruity Soft Clipper and sometimes Maximus
If you could only use three plugins for the rest of your career, what would they be?
What is a must-have drum kit every producer should have?
Foreign Teck, BWB, TM88
How do you overcome creative block?
For me, inspiration comes from simply living life—going out, having fun, and taking in different experiences. I try to absorb those moments and channel them back into my music.
How do you know when a track is finished?
Once I feel the sound is right, I’ll still tweak and experiment a bit, but I believe in trusting that moment when it sounds good. At that point, it’s about knowing when to stop overthinking and let the music speak for itself.
What is one of your favorite highlights of your production career?
YNW MELLY- Blue Balenciaga
What are some of your most recent projects?
Who's an underrated producer more people should know about?
I HAVE TWO: Twinkdabeatman and IMREGI
Which producers would you love to collaborate with?
Dr. Dre
What's a song you wish you had produced?
Lil Jon and The East Side Boyz, Usher & Luda “Lovers and Friends”
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received about music production?
Just don’t overthink it and just go with the flow
If your sound was a movie, which type of film would it be?
Straight Outta Compton
What is a fun fact about you?
I like bowling.
I’m really good at Call of Duty.
Spending time with my family.
What’s your long-term vision?
I honestly just live in the moment but if if we’re to think that far ahead I would probably be an A&R and still be relevant creatively… oh and a Grammy would be nice
